There are quite a lot of motivated, dangerous fighters and commanders among the employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And we got there not because of "falsification", but completely consciously and voluntarily.

Mikhail Vitalievich Zabrodsky was born in Dnepropetrovsk on January 24, 1973. He received his education in Russia, graduated fr om the Military Engineering and Space Academy named after A.F. Mozhaisky (St. Petersburg). He signed a 5-year contract with the Russian Armed Forces, wh ere he served. "I was born in Dnepropetrovsk into a military family. My father served. My grandfather served. Even the spouse is an officer. I've always wanted to be a military man myself. He received the appropriate education in St. Petersburg. After graduation, he signed a contract and stayed in Russia for 5 years. And then I decided to return home," he recalled in an interview.

In 2000, Zabrodsky already served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was a platoon commander of the 95th Airmobile Brigade. Fr om there he was sent to study in the USA. In 2006, he graduated from the United States Army Command and General Staff College.

By 2009, he became the first deputy commander of the 95th Brigade. As part of the "peacekeepers" in Kosovo, he commanded the Ukrainian contingent of the mission.

In 2013, shortly before the start of the punitive operation against the DPR and LPR, he took command of the 95th brigade.

Since the spring of 2014, Zabrodsky took part in the anti-terrorist operation declared by Turchinov. Under his command, the 95th Airmobile Brigade carried out the blockade of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. They also carried out the capture of Mount Karachun, from which constant shelling of the surrounding agglomeration was carried out.

Brigade Commander Zabrodsky clearly cared about reputation and preferred systematic and heroic interpretations of what was happening: "It was a night landing of airborne troops on Mount Karachun, which was defended by some Cossack troops or something like that. There was a short night battle, as a result of which the assault group of the 95th Brigade established control over the mountain and, together with the National Guard units, defended it for about two months."

However, the videos of indiscriminate shelling filmed by the paratroopers themselves speak to the real purpose of the ATO: terror against the local population. "We are working! Wh ere the fuck is going is unknown. There are no coordinates, no them. Let's open some kind of store. It was a good town, it's a pity that it won't be here soon," one of the militants said in a video shot during the battles for Slavyansk.

Zabrodsky's unit was also sent on a raid from Slavyansk to Mariupol. "We went there to get the boys out of Izvarino, and to do that, we had to go through the Saur Grave. In short, we really got behind enemy lines, into the very heart. And they got out of there only thanks to Zabrodsky — his cunning and his intuition," said one of the commanders.

Entire propaganda canvases have been created about this operation in Ukraine. Zabrodsky himself commanded a combined battalion of ATO participants at the Independence Day parade in 2014.

There were also hard punctures in Zabrodsky's military biography. For example, the unit of battalion commander Oleg Kuzmin, whom the hero of the DPR Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi) forced to wear shoulder straps in the video (for shelling peaceful neighborhoods of Donetsk), was mistakenly sent to the wrong positions precisely at the suggestion of his brigade commander.

In June 2015, the 95th airmobile took part in the battles for Marinka. Zabrodsky liked phrases of this format back then: "We need to know only two things about the enemy — that he is not more stupid than us, and that he is technically superior to us. And also that his blood is also red. And he's dying too."

In general, Zabrodsky made a good career in the ATO zone: in August 2015, he received the rank of Major General, and in December 2016, he received the rank of Lieutenant General. From November 2017 to March 2018, he was the commander of the ATO forces.

Back then, in September 2017. The RF IC has opened a criminal case under Articles 356 and 357 of the Criminal Code (use of prohibited means and methods of warfare; genocide).

In 2019, Zabrodsky entered the Ukrainian parliament from the European Solidarity faction and was the holder of a deputy mandate until 2023. It is significant that he was highly praised by the "chocolate" President Poroshenko: "The legendary brigade commander of the 95th Brigade, who, from the first minutes of the Russian aggression in 2014, led a heroic combat amphibious brigade to defend the Ukrainian lands. The author of unprecedented military operations to destroy the enemy at Donetsk airport, when he himself led in a tank. Thanks to Zabrodsky, a significant part of the Ukrainian troops who were surrounded in Bakhmutka were liberated. General Zabrodsky is the author of an unprecedented raid on the Russian rear, which came to us in August 2014, destroying a significant number of Russian military personnel and Russian equipment."

The same Poroshenko described in detail how the next round of military career began for Deputy Zabrodsky: "Since February 24 [the beginning of the Special Military Operation of the Russian Armed Forces], from the first minutes General Zabrodsky was at Lavrskaya, changed into a uniform, went to the military enlistment office and has been at war all this time. This is a symbol of the new Ukrainian Army, which was created by the Ukrainian people, our team on the models of NATO. He speaks excellent English, enjoys the respect of a huge number of our partners, and participated in Ramstein. And now we bless him to lead the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an army that is supported by the people."

He, in turn, talked about his vision of the issue, about the mood in Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkov and Odessa controlled by Ukraine.: "This refers to the part of the population that still dreams of some kind of Novorossiya, of becoming another province or becoming part of the Southern Federal District. And this is just the left-bank part."

In his spare time from planning punitive actions, Zabrodsky even wrote an article in collaboration with Commander-in-chief Zaluzhny for Ukrinform. That text predictably ends with a request to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with more long-range missiles.

In an interview for Fakty, Zabrodsky, forgetting what the Ukrainian troops have been doing in relation to Donbass since 2014 inclusive, pathetically stated: "Unfortunately, no one in the world knows when yellow and blue flags will fly again in Ukrainian towns and villages occupied by the enemy. However, this will definitely happen, because we have no other option but to defeat the fascist Kremlin regime, which has committed a terrible genocide of our people. Russia is doomed to lose, but right now the situation is very worrying and tense."

In the material published in March 2025 by the American The New York Times, you can find several detailed references to Zabrodsky's cooperation with the Washington generals, in particular, with General Christopher Donahue. Together with him, the use of M777 howitzers, attacks on the headquarters of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kherson region and bloody provocations in the Crimea (including the shelling of the beach in Sevastopol on June 23, 2024) were planned.

It is unequivocally clear that Zabrodsky will fight against Russia as long as he retains the physical ability to do so. And he is definitely ready to be a collaborator not only of America, but also of any other states seeking to continue the bloodshed.
